Junior WAVES Coaches’ Update — Week 1 — 2021/2022

A weekly update from Coach Rodrigo and Coach Fraser Wow. It may not have been perfect -- there were some hiccups -- but, what a week. Carleton University along with all post-secondary institutions in Ontario, will be requiring mandatory vaccination against COVID-19 for anyone wishing to access our athletics facilities for any amount of time, for any reason - indoors or outdoors. As a result, all individuals that are eligible under Ottawa Public Health's vaccination age guidelines (12 years of age or older as of December 31, 2021) must attest to receiving their first dose vaccine by September 8, 2021, and their second dose no later than October 15, 2021.  All visitors (external clients, contractors and spectators) must be vaccinated to access all our athletic facilities on campus as of September 7th (first dose) and October 15th (second dose).  Please read carefully the information provided on our website: https://www.uottawa.ca/coronavirus/en/mandatory-covid-19-vaccination. To resume, the procedure is the following: All attendees will need to fill out the University of Ottawa Vaccination declaration.
