Regionals

Congratulations to all the WAVE athletes that participated in the Regional Swim Championships this past weekend. WAVE swimmers set 26 new club records, and had 7 top three finishes (including 5 from Yana), and everyone set new PBs. WAVE has never been faster! WAVE is proud of everyone’s achievements in the water this past weekend and for what it means to the entire club.

June is a funny time of year for our club.

As a coach, every weekend is booked for me, as it’s very busy especially with Regionals and Festivals. But, we do start to wind down as far as training goes, but the meets keep on coming.

And it’s amazing to see what our kids can and will do at the last two meets of the year. This past weekend in Brockville, there were 10 new club records, 94 new Personal Bests (PBs) and Addison and Stanley both qualified for Regionals in January. You can just feel our club getting faster…

And it will only continue this coming weekend at Festivals for Yana, Adriano, Naya and Nicole and then at again at Belleville the week after that.

Just take a look at our older boys dominating in the 50FR this past weekend. Who would want to compete with that when it comes to getting up and down the pool in a polo match???

Belleville

The entries for Belleville are going in tomorrow. I will leave the sign-up form open until 10:00 PM tonight if there’s anyone out there considering going to the best meet of the year (complete with a Parent’s Lounge).

LDP Montreal Tournament

Congrats to all the players at the LDP Montreal tournament. You guys represented the WAVE and captured some medals in the process! Always a fun tournament and a great way to end the season…and it’s always on the same weekend as Regionals ūüôĀ

Open Water

There is no 4K RiverKeeper. Sadly, the event has been cancelled.
