Return to the pool!!!!! Again…….!!!!!!!

Hello Capital Wave Families, Well, here we are again!!!! Getting ready to get back into the water…..again! Yay! We are currently awaiting the most up to date rules, capacity limits, and restrictions from the City [...]

**TIME SENSITIVE: Delay in the resumption of Capital Wave practices**

Good day and Happy New Year to all!   While we were all set to welcome our athletes back to the pool this evening, with the announcement from the Province of Ontario today, regretfully, we have to delay the resumption of practices starting today until we are advised that we can resume.   We will continue to monitor the situation and we plan to resume as soon as it is allowed. We are all extremely disappointed by this current situation, and look forward to seeing all of you at the pool in a short couple of weeks! Please stay healthy and [...]

Happy Holiday Break from your Capital Waves Coaches

Dear Capital Wave Families, First of all, we hope you are all healthy and doing well. We know that this was not the way we wanted to end the year, but our club took fast precautions to make sure everyone was kept safe. All of the Capital Wave Coaches are beyond proud with the progress that every athlete has accomplished so far this season. We couldn’t ask for a better group of athletes, parent volunteers, and community members. Capital Wave Covid Update: December 16th, 2021

Good evening, I just wanted to update you all on the covid situation at Capital Wave.   We have two additional cases, for a total of three in the club.  The athletes who have tested positive had exposure to Covid-19 outside of CW activities, so while we cannot be 100% positive, in consultation with OPH, we do not believe there was transmission at any of our practices.   That said, we encourage you to follow the direction of OPH and, if your child has any symptoms, please have them quarantined and/or tested using your best discretion [...]

Junior WAVES Coaches’ Update — Week 13 — 2021/2022

A weekly update from Coach Rodrigo and Coach Fraser Good News First It was another historic week for the Wave Swim and Polo program and I am very pleased to let you know why. The second session for Saturday's practice actually played a game of water polo that was end-to-end the full length of the pool. Coach Valeria asked if they wanted to play the whole pool and the majority said yes. This is monumental and in the mind of the coaches it is a clear sign of the progress of the Junior Waves. Historically [...]

Junior WAVES Coaches’ Update — Week 12 — 2021/2022

A weekly update from Coach Rodrigo and Coach Fraser Swimming It was a historic week for the Junior Waves program with our first ever annual Yellow and Blue Gala this past weekend. The coaching staff hopes that everyone had a fun and memorable occasion. We could not be more proud of our athletes. I will always have the memory of the athletes charging down the middle of the lines of parents to the sound of the bagpipes. It was something out of Braveheart. The effort put forward by our athletes was tremendous with some great [...]
