Hello WAVE,

We are really looking forward to hosting you this Saturday and wanted to share some important information with your swim families to help the meet run as smoothly as possible for everyone.

Arrival

Access to the Perth pool building will not be available until 7:30. To ensure swimmer safety, the pool deck will not be open until 7:45am for visiting teams/swimmers.

Warm-up: 8:00 – 8:45am

The pool will be very full during warm-up. In order to adhere to the per lane maximum of 20 swimmers most Perth swimmers will be warming up earlier. To ensure the 20 swimmers per lane for the duration of warm-up lane are assigned as follows:

  • Lanes 1*, 2, 3: WAVE
  • Lanes 4, 5: KBM
  • Lane 6*: PERTH

*Lane 6 and lane 1 will be converted to dive lanes from 8:30-8:45am for all teams.

Parking

Parking is very limited at this location; carpooling is highly encouraged!

Spectators

To ensure that swimmers, coaches, and officials can safely operate on deck, spectator space will be extremely limited on deck. There will be a closed-circuit, live stream of the meet in the pool’s multi-purpose room, or there is the option of viewing through the pool windows from outside – this area can only be accessed from the exterior, at the east side of the building.

Spectators are not permitted to stand and block the doorway entry to the pool.

Food Drive

Perth Stingrays will be collecting canned and dry food for the local Community Food Centre; The Table. Any non-perishable food items are welcome, but the most needed items currently are: canned tomatoes, canned vegetables, pasta sauces, canned seafood, canned beans, dried beans, peanut butter, dried pasta, and low-sugar cereal.

There will be a large gray Sprinter van parked at the front of the pool for families to place donations in ahead of the meet. A big thank you for helping us support this amazing community organization!

Halloween Candy Game

It wouldn’t be a Halloween meet without candy! There will be a sucker pull game in the pool’s multi-purpose room. It will cost $1/sucker with a 1-in-3 chance of winning an extra candy prize!
